Where to go, how to get there.

Trails

From the Club’s earliest days, fishing trails were cut to expand access to surrounding lakes. Additional trails provided hunters with routes to wetlands and upland areas. In the late 1960s, the first recreational trail was created to the summit of “Big Mountain,” where visitors are rewarded with breathtaking views.

More recent efforts have restored historic trails and added new ones, significantly expanding member access throughout the area. Whether you are hiking to fish or simply exploring for enjoyment, the trails offer memorable opportunities to connect with this stunning wilderness.

Lean-tos

Many of the early trails led to remote fishing lakes, where members would spend one or more nights visiting multiple locations. To support these overnight trips, the Club constructed lean-tos along the trails. As their popularity grew, additional lean-tos were built along the big lake to provide convenient shelters for overnight stays and day visits.

All existing lean-tos have recently been rehabilitated or replaced, and the surrounding grounds have been cleared. Each lean-to includes a sleeping area protected from the weather, offering a comfortable and unique way to spend an evening outdoors and share the experience with family or friends.

Members are encouraged to explore the wilderness that surrounds our lake and experience these special places.
